In this first picture, you can see my love for the Overdoor Shoe organizer. In previous apartments, I've used one of these in my pantry for snack items. It's a great way to get rid of boxes and you can see all your options (granola bars, oatmeal packets, etc.) In the laundry room, I'm using them more utility items. The left one has our medicine cabinet (band-aids, cough drops, tylenol, sinus meds, etc.), batteries, stationary, tape- stuff like that. The right has all my laundry and ironing supplies as well a couple other random items. I think there's a hammer, plastic forks, and poncho in there too.
In this second picture, you can see the shelving unit I found on sale at Target. Again, I don't have enough cabinet space in my kitchen. So, I'm using it primarily for all of my bakeware, mixing bowls, and appliances (food processor, coffee maker, steamer, etc.). I even have room for kitchen towels in the green basket and beach towels at the top. Eventually I'll get rid of the paint supplies.
The third picture just shows our stackable washer and dryer that we bought. This was a smart, space-saving decision. We caddy cornered it which leaves us room to the right for our double laundry bag.
This final picture just shows that I've used every piece of wall or floor space in this room. Ryan has a lot of hats, mostly Nationals hats. There wasn't any room in our closet. We don't have a coat closet and I didn't really want them hung in our bedroom. So, I found some wall space. It's up over the doors in the laundry room. You wouldn't even notice them unless you walked in the room, turned around, and looked up. I couldn't get a great picture, but don't worry there are five hooks with 2-3 hats on them each.
